Publish and schedule Bluesky posts from Oktopost using the Post Editor. This article covers Bluesky-specific composer settings, content limits, and supported post settings.
Create a Bluesky post
- Go to Calendar and click New Post.
- Click Select Profile and choose Bluesky.
- Select the Bluesky profile you want to publish from.
- Write your post text (up to 300 characters).
- Add media if needed: up to 4 images or 1 video.
- Configure Campaign, Tags, Schedule, or Approval as needed.
- Click Post Now or Schedule.
Text, mentions, hashtags, and links
Bluesky posts support up to 300 characters. You can include @mentions, #hashtags, and links in your post text. Oktopost formats these elements using Bluesky facets so they render as interactive components in the published post.
Media
- Images: Up to 4 images per post. You can add alt text for accessibility.
- Video: 1 video per post, up to 3 minutes.
When you hover over the upload media icon in the Bluesky composer, the tooltip reads: Choose a video or up to 4 images.
Preview
The Post Editor shows a real-time Bluesky preview in Desktop and Mobile views so you can confirm how your post will appear before publishing.

Advocacy is not available for Bluesky posts. The Message Generator is also not supported for Bluesky.
