Manage Your Custom Agent Templates
View, edit, and delete templates in Your Templates. Oktopost Templates are curated by Oktopost — you can apply them but not edit or delete them.
View your templates
- Go to Setup → AI Management → Custom Agents.
- Open a Draft agent in the Agent Editor.
- Click the gear menu and select Use template.
- Browse the Your Templates group.
Edit a template
| Step | Action | Details |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Open template management | From the template picker or gear menu, select Edit template on a template you own. |
| 2 | Update name or description | Change how the template appears in Your Templates. |
| 3 | Adjust parameters | Add or remove parameters. Existing parameter keys are locked — you cannot rename a key after agents have used it. |
| 4 | Save changes | Confirm to update the template. |
Why this matters
Locked parameter keys protect agents already created from the template. You can add new parameters or remove unused ones, but renaming a key would break existing apply flows.Overwrite from an agent
To replace a template's workflow with a newer agent design, open the source agent and use Save as template to overwrite the existing template. See Save a Custom Agent as a Template.
Delete a template
- Open the template in the template management view.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a template removes it from Your Templates. Agents already created from the template are not affected.
Snapshot behavior
Editing or deleting a template does not change Custom Agents already created from it. Each apply creates an independent snapshot in the target Draft agent.
Oktopost Templates
Oktopost Templates are read-only. You can apply them to seed a Draft agent, but you cannot edit, overwrite, or delete them.
