When a user exceeds the maximum invalid login attempts defined in your account's password policy, Oktopost locks them out of the platform. Account administrators can view locked users and unlock them from Settings.
Prerequisites
- Account Owner or Admin role, or permission to manage password policy settings
Viewing Locked Users
- Open My Profile Menu > Settings.
- Go to Security > Locked Users.
If no users are locked out, you see a message that no users are currently locked out.
When users are locked out, the page lists users who were locked due to password policy violations.
Unlocking a User
- Open My Profile Menu > Settings, then go to Security > Locked Users.
- Find the user in the list.
- Click Unlock User for that user.
After you unlock a user, they can sign in again according to your password policy rules.
To change when users are locked out, update the Maximum invalid login attempts and Lockout period settings in Setting up Password Policy.
