Apply motion effects in Video Studio to animate video, image, and text clips. Motion effects help you add movement and emphasis without leaving the editor. For the full editor walkthrough, see Getting Started with Video Studio.
Available Motion Effects
The Motion tab includes:
- Move: Shifts the clip position over time
- Zoom: Zooms in or out on the clip
- Scale: Changes clip size over time
- Rotate: Rotates the clip over time
- Flip Horizontal: Flips the clip horizontally
- Flip Vertical: Flips the clip vertically
Apply a Motion Effect
- Open your project in Video Studio.
- Make sure the clip you want to animate is on the timeline.
- Open the Motion tab in the left sidebar.
- Click and drag a motion effect onto the clip on the timeline.
- Drop the effect on the clip to apply it.
- Click Play to preview the motion in the canvas.
Adjust a Motion Effect
- Click the motion effect on the timeline to select it.
- Use the preview action bar and timeline handles to adjust timing and duration.
- Drag the edges of the motion block to control when the effect starts and ends.
Motion effects apply to individual clips. Combine motion with transitions for smoother sequences between segments.
