Updating your profile image in Oktopost is managed through Gravatar, a third-party service that links an avatar to your email address. Oktopost uses this image to display your profile avatar in the admin interface, as direct uploads are not supported within the platform.
Prerequisites
- Access to your Oktopost account
- An email address associated with your Oktopost login
Update Your Profile Image on Gravatar
Ensure your Gravatar account email matches your Oktopost login email. This only affects the profile image in Oktopost, not social profiles used for publishing.
- Sign in to Oktopost and navigate to Settings > My Profile > Profile Settings to confirm your login email. See My Profile Settings Overview for more details.
- Open a new browser tab and go to Gravatar.com. This is an external site — verify the page uses HTTPS before signing in.
- Sign in to Gravatar or create an account using the same email address linked to your Oktopost login.
- Upload a new image or select an existing one from your Gravatar library.
- Set the image as the primary avatar for your email address.
- Return to Oktopost. Your new profile image should appear after Gravatar propagates the change. This may take a few minutes, or up to 24 hours due to caching.
